The few, the proud, the graduates of a small & expensive private school MBA program. They paid through the nose for their diplomas and their European adventure, and this blog will be a reminder. Meandering along the Danyube for 11 days changes a person, and the cities become more vivid once you scratch the surface. Behold: The Other Side of the Danyube...

My philisophical moment...

...came here in the small fortress. This statement was ordered by Hitler I beleive, and the for the Jewish prisoners, this was their greeting as they sat for hours waiting to be processed into the prison . For those of you who weren't there, look this up, and repeat it to yourself daily as you finish up your final classes, walk up to get your diploma, claw your way onto the corporate ladder and power through those 10 hour days...

Here...I did it for you:

For six hours the man did not move!

Fascinating. Too bad...I was a bit too slow with the camera, as the druel just barely rolled off his bottom lip.

The Last Supper

I dunno, this really made my trip. We finally found a region where the economy imbalance was in our favor. Brno had $.60 Pilsner Urquell...I could hardly contain myself. These youngsters at the kiddy table caught on to the cheap beer as well. Get a good look, this is a snapshot of our future leaders. As for the food, well, it was slightly better tasting than it looked.

I take that back. I loved it because I was in the middle of Europe. I would steer clear of that mush otherwise.

That's my hand...I should be a hand model.

A process management dream...

It is probably difficult to appreciate just how glorious this was. From a process management point of view, these guys were magicians. But on a more personal level, the sheer amount of pilsner jetting through this assembly line was mind boggling...a beer lovers wet dream. This was in a Vienna beer garden a couple of hours before a big football game. We ate some (fried) pig's knee, which is simply beyond description. Anyone have a pic of that thing?

This is where it all started...

News got out that we had the only balcony (the roof of the lobby) and so on the second night in Praha, we found our mojo. In the foreground, note the Czech 40 (we poured a little on the street for those of you who couldn't make it), a bunch of whine, lots of stinky cheese, mystery meat and yummy bread, and probably some Absynthe bottles as well. In the background you will notice me...see me? Over there on the right...I mean WAY over there. OK actually that is my knee. Who is the Ansel Adams that took this photo? You left me out of my own picture! It's funny how composed everyone looks here because the whole deal nose dived within seconds.

Is the Prada photo shoot this way?

As this suave gentleman passed, I heard him mumble something like:
"Which way did they go?"
"How many were there?"
"I must find them..."
"I am their leader!"

Perhaps the finest Pivo imaginable

What a great crew for a lovely beer garden somewhere in Praha. This place was hidden behind some unmarked door (unless you speak Czech). Some weird old lady followed me in to the bathroom to watch me pee. Prague is great!

First day of the trip in Praha...looking for some directions on the death march, and this guy was like, no help at all.

OK, we all have a picture of the Danyube...

But do you have a picture of Aric Krauss naked, hanging off the side of a bridge that crosses the Danyube? That's what we hope to see here.

But, really, if you have a great pic that nobody has posted of some serene shot in the trip, or a goofy pic of the girl next to you dribbling while sleeping on the bus, POST IT! Comments are important as well. I have never used the site so I can not steer you. Just take the torch and run with it. See you at graduation...or in the job line. JCM
